The Timber Carry
Last year the Timber Carry was at an approximate weight of 400kgs (882lbs). This year that number was upped by 220lbs to 500kgs or 1100lbs. This time though, competitors were allowed to use straps instead of the traditional hand grip only rules of a frame carry. Jerry Pritchett (USA) won the event last year with a time of 8.85 seconds. This year, despite using the straps, the extra 100kgs certainly made if tough on these incredible strength athletes. First this year was Hafthor Bjornsson with a time of just over 10 seconds, second place was last years winner, Jerry Pritchett in just over 12 seconds and third place was Zydrunas Savickas with 13.18 seconds.
