For example if there are 10 athletes in a weight division, the top 2 will qualify. If there are only 5 athletes then only 1 will qualify.

As previously advised as well this event for the under 90 and under 105kg class will be the official qualifier for the WORLDS STRONGEST MAN Under 90 and Under 105kg competition on the 28th November 2015 in NORWAY. The two highest placed athletes in each of these divisions will gain an entry into this competition.

To be fair to both state level and national level competitors for events which are not for max weight, there will be an option of two weighted implements, one heavier and one lighter.

Moving the heavier one for a pre-set distance or doing one good rep with the heavier one, will score more than a higher no. of reps or further distance or quicker time with the lighter weighted implement.

This is how they do the Slaters log in the Arnolds.

Athlete “A” picks up the heavier log and does one rep only

Athlete “B” picks up the lighter log and does 10 reps.

Athlete “C” picks up the lighter log and does 8 reps

The winner will be athlete ‘A’ followed by ‘B’ and then ‘C’

The weight divisions will be:

Men’s Over 105kg
Men’s Under 105kg
Men’s Under 90kg
Men’s Under 80kg
Men’s Masters Over 40 years old

Ladies Over 82kg
Ladies Under 82kg
Ladies Under 63.5kg
Ladies Masters Over 40 years old

The weight divisions are in line with those in the Arnold or WSM.
