The Cyr Dumbbell

The Cyr Dumbbell, modelled on the original dumbbell use by French Canadian Strongman from the late 1800’s, Louis Cyr (Seer) used. Rogue Fitness modelled the new Dumbbell on plans of the original that is currently held in the Stark Center. The dumbbell is 274lbs or 124kgs and the event was a tie for first place in 2014 with four competitors each completing 4 reps in the alotted 60 seconds, Brian Shaw, Mike Burke, Zydrunas Savickas and Hafthor Bjornsson. This year the number was eclipsed by Brian shaw and Dimitar Svatinov who completed 6 reps, 2nd was Mike burke on 5 reps. Full results below:
